A step-on guide is a tour guide that’s hired to join a tour group on their bus, motorcoach, or van and lead the day’s itinerary.
A tour guide is a person who provides assistance, and information on cultural, historical, and contemporary heritage to people on organized sightseeing and individual clients at educational establishments, religious and historical sites such as; museums, and various venues of tourist attractions.
The role of a Step-On Guide is to join a group at a designated location and “step on” the coach, bus, or van to provide guided commentary of the sights, locations, and history of a local place. They then leave the group and the company continues on with its itinerary. TRT works with your main contact to optimize your itinerary and time, resulting in a high quality, memorable experience.

Q: We have a bus tour starting in Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill, but we will not return to either of these towns. Can this work?
A: Yes, provided we can arrange for the transportation of the guide back to the meeting location. There will be an extra charge to shuttle the guide back to the meeting location. Please contact us if you are interested.
