Walking tours are really the BEST way to see and experience a city. Come discover why on ANY of our Walking tours!
Raleigh, North Carolina. Between political unrest during antebellum years and heated debate about whether North Carolina should secede from the union, the people of Raleigh had some things to settle, whether it happened during or after their lives. The City of Oaks, claims to be the second planned US State Capital city in the USA, circa 1792.
The Oak City has experienced accidents, fires, tragedies, and unresolved disagreements that have played a role in the paranormal world. Raleigh is no exception to these types of incidents over the years. When someone has some incomplete business matters to take care of or passed on with something missing, the only other option may be to come back in a spiritual sense.
Many people think our ghost tours are just something to experience during the Halloween season like visiting a haunted house. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Raleigh Pub Crawl combines local ghost stories, folklore, and local history as it takes you to four different Ghost & Paranormal sites. Stories from the late 1700s through the 20th century will be explored with an entertaining twist. It’s entertaining and educational at the same time.

We look forward to hosting a meaningful and entertaining activity with you.
While we cannot confirm or deny the existence of ghosts or supernatural activity in Raleigh, North Carolina, it is true that the city has a rich and complex history. Raleigh was founded in 1792 as the capital of North Carolina, and has since played a significant role in American history.
During the Civil War, Raleigh was occupied by Union troops, and there were several battles and skirmishes in and around the city. Many soldiers lost their lives, and it is possible that their spirits may still linger in the area.
In addition to the Civil War, Raleigh has also been the site of political corruption and scandals throughout its history. In the late 1800s, the city’s government was controlled by a group of businessmen known as the “Ring,” who used their power to enrich themselves at the expense of the city’s residents. It is possible that the ghosts of some of these corrupt politicians may still haunt the halls of government buildings in Raleigh.
Overall, while the idea of Raleigh being a haunted city is mostly based on folklore and urban legends, there is no denying that the city has a complex and fascinating history that is worth exploring. Come walk with US!
